This module allows the creation of special furnaces which cause ore smelting to output double items.
This module allows the creation of special smelters which cause ore smelting to output double items.

Details
Features
When a blast furnace smelts an ore, it will output another smelted ingot into the Blast Furnace Output Hopper.
When a furnace with the proper multi-block structure smelts an ore or other supported item, the Smeltery will output an additional smelted item. If the Smeltery's output has no room for the additional item (i.e. has 63 items before the smelt is completed), then the extra item will not be generated.

Technical Summary
Every doubling smelt has a 1 in 90 chance to fill the cauldron with lava. This means if a smeltery is continuously run, it can be self-sustaining.
Breaking the Blast Furnace Output Hopper will drop all items used to create the Hopper and the custom crafter.

Creation
Below is a list of items that can be smelted and doubled by a Smeltery.
A Blast Furnace is a multi-block structure with a Blast Furnace Hopper in the center. The Blast Furnace Output Hopper is created by inputing the following recipe into a custom crafter. The custom crafter will be converted into a special hopper in which the multi block structure can be built around.

In order for the Smeltery to properly function, a structure must be built around it. A cauldron must be placed behind the Smeltery. 7 iron blocks must be placed in the surrounding blocks to complete a 3x3 square and an additional layer of 7 iron blocks should be placed above that.

A furnace and 7 iron blocks should be added around the Blast Furnace Output Hopper. The orientation doesn't matter, but the back of the furnace needs to be touching the custom crafter. Then, a glass block should be placed on top of the furnace and 7 more iron blocks on top of the first layer.
Compatibility
Smelteries can be moved with Relocators.

Crafting a Smeltery converted the Custom Crafter into a Smeltery, which was a hopper. This hopper was the center of the multi-block structure instead of a cauldron. The doubled output item would spawn in above the hopper instead of doubling directly inside the furnace. Prior to 1.18, smelting items in a smeltery did not generate lava.
Additionally, breaking the Smeltery will dropped the items used to create the Smelter, though when destroying a Smeltery, the player would not get the iron block back, but would instead get a hopper.

This module allows the creation of special smelters which cause ore smelting to output double items.

Features

When a furnace with the proper multi-block structure smelts an ore or other supported item, the Smeltery will output an additional smelted item. If the Smeltery's output has no room for the additional item (i.e. has 63 items before the smelt is completed), then the extra item will not be generated.

Every doubling smelt has a 1 in 90 chance to fill the cauldron with lava. This means if a smeltery is continuously run, it can be self-sustaining.

Below is a list of items that can be smelted and doubled by a Smeltery.

Previous Versions

MC 1.8-1.17 Versions

Prior to 1.18, the recipe used to be

Custom Crafter

Crafting a Smeltery converted the Custom Crafter into a Smeltery, which was a hopper. This hopper was the center of the multi-block structure instead of a cauldron. The doubled output item would spawn in above the hopper instead of doubling directly inside the furnace. Prior to 1.18, smelting items in a smeltery did not generate lava. Additionally, breaking the Smeltery will dropped the items used to create the Smelter, though when destroying a Smeltery, the player would not get the iron block back, but would instead get a hopper.
