This module adds a new type of minecart, the Minecart with Piston, that is able to drill through rock!

Getting Started

To get started with tunnel bores, aquire a Minecart with Piston via a Custom Crafter. To start the bore, right click it with any coal on the back side of the cart, later on you can adjust the carts heading or restart its engine (if it got stuck) by right clicking with an empty hand.

Each Minecart with Piston can hold up to 64 normal rails in its internal inventory. To add rails, place rails in an adjacent Minecart with Chest. This mechanism can also be used to automatically refuel the cart, though one coal lasts for 3 minutes.

Features

A Minecart with Piston is an advanced form of the furnace minecart that follows the following rules:

• If the block in front of the tunnel bore is breakable, it will break the block

• If the block in front of the tunnel bore is air and the block below that air block has a solid top-face (e.g. stone, glass), it will place a rail

• If the tunnel bore is low on rails or fuel, it will try to refuel and restock from a nearby chest minecart

The Minecart with Piston checks these conditions when there is a block in front of the minecart, but can be manually triggered if on a powered activator rail.

Crafting Recipes

There are two ways to craft a Minecart with Piston

Technical Details

Minecarts with Pistons only work when on a horizontal piece of track. Below is a list of blocks that can not be mined by a Minecart with Piston.
