An obsidian cast with a metal band will contain a shamir. A Shamir is essentially a custom enchantment. Each shamir can only be put onto specific items. Each Shamir can be found on a specific band. E.g. Sensus can only be found on a Barium Band.
An obsidian cast with a metal band will contain a shamir. A shamir is essentially a custom enchantment which appears on a newly cast band. Each shamir can only be put onto specific items. E.g. Sensus can only be found on a Barium Band and can only be applied to a compass.

=== Shamir Attractions and metal properties ===
Each of the six types of metal belong to a different category of behaviour. Shamirs appear on the metal that best fits what they do. The six metals are split into two groups with two metals having opposing properties and their alloy acting as the balance between the two.

Shamirs are only attracted to and appear on one type of metal, depending on the shamir's behaviour.

When a new band is cast in a mold, it will immediately attract and be enchanted by a random shamir that belongs to that metal's category. An Aluminium band can have a "Defuse" shamir because it suppresses a creeper's natural urge to explode, but it will never get a Sensus shamir because Sensus is an amplification shamir.
