Based on the amount of armour points you have, different levels of the slowness status effect are applied. More armour points causes more slowness. For example, being fully equipped with leather armour will cause no slowness effect, but a full set of diamond armour will cause the slowness III effect. Players should consider what level of protection they need for different activities, and have a few different outfits to wear accordingly.

With the [[Metallurgy]] module installed, the [[Metallurgy/Helios|Helios]] shamir can be used to reduce the weight of your armour. Each piece of armour with a Helios band applied will reduce your total weight (and thus slowness effect level) by one. If you have more Helios bands than armour weight however, the armour will begin to randomly float into the air, with you still inside, causing damage. Weighted Armour

Module TypeStand Alone
Created bySparks
Complementary ModulesHelious Shamir
Compatible MC Versions1.8+

This module gives armour "weight" by slowing the player depending on their armour points.

Features

Based on the amount of armour points you have, different levels of the slowness status effect are applied. More armour points causes more slowness. For example, being fully equipped with Leather Armour will cause no Slowness effect, but a full set of Diamond Armour will cause the Slowness III effect. Players should consider what level of protection they need for different activities, and have a few different outfits to wear accordingly.

Weight Values

Armor Points Slowness Effect
0-7 No Slowness
8-15 Slowness I
16-19 Slowness II
20 Slowness III
Defense Points
Material Full Set Helmet / Cap Chestplate / Tunic Leggings / Pants Boots
Turtle Shell 2 2 N/A N/A N/A
Leather 7 1 3 2 1
Golden 11 2 5 3 1
Chainmail 12 2 5 4 1
Iron 15 2 6 5 2
Diamond 20 3 8 6 3
Netherite 20 3 8 6 3

Compatibility

With the Metallurgy module installed, the Helious Shamir can be used to reduce the weight of armour. Each piece of armour with a Helious Shamir applied will reduce the total Slowness effect level by one level. However having more Helious armour than armour weight will cause the player to randomly float into the air and inflict damage due to not having enough weight to weigh the player down. Previous Versions

MC 1.8 Version

In MC 1.8 version, weight is calculated by assigning an amount to each armour piece, and adding up the points. This was heavily compacted once 1.9 introduced a new objective to test the armour points directly.
