The Colossal Phantom is the boss mob of the Sky Dimension. It can be summoned in the Sky Dimension using Phantom Bait and drops the Sky Lens when killed. The Sky Lens allows beacon beams to acts as a levitation ray, allowing players and mobs to easily gain levitation. This module is packaged with the Sky Dimension module.
Features
Phantom Bait
Phantom Bait is dropped from Sky Illusioners upon being killed by a player. Sky Illusioners have a 7.5%[1] chance to drop the Phantom Bait when killed by a player.
Throwing Phantom Bait on the ground in the Sky Dimension will summon a phantom. Throwing the Phantom Bait in a stack of 10 baits will summon the Phantom Boss.
Summoning
In order to summon the Colossal Phantom, the player must throw a stack of 10[2] Phantom Bait on the ground in the Sky Dimension. When the Colossal Phantom is summoned, a powerful fireball will fall from the sky and blow up a large portion of the ground.
Boss Fight
The size of the Colossal Phantom is dependent on the health of the mob. The Colossal Phantom has starts with a Size of 20, 200 health, 20 armor, and 16 attack damage (8 hearts). Additionally, the Colossal Phantom is fire resistant.
The boss fight is split up into five phases of varying difficulty.
Phase 1
The first stage occurs when the Phantom Boss first spawns. During this phase, the Colossal Phantom will shoot fireballs towards players.
Phase 2
When the Colossal Phantom falls below 150 health, it will advance to Phase 2. During this phase, the Colossal Phantom will stop shooting fireballs. Four vexes will spawn around the Colossal Phantom and continuously orbit the boss. This acts as a shield and during this phase, the Colossal Phantom is invulnerable. In order to break the shield, the vex with particles must be shot and killed. Additionally during this phase, the Colossal Phantom will summon falling spikes (light blue stained glass) that deal damage.
Phase 3
Once the Vex Shield is completely depleted, the Colossal Phantom will advance to Phase 3. During this phase, the Colossal Phantom shoots fireballs again. Additionally, Venomous Pests will spawn. Venomous Pests are phantoms with low health, but will bite the player with Poison III for 3 seconds and Weakness II for 10 seconds.
Phase 4
When the Colossal Phantom falls below 50 health, it will advance to Phase 4. During this phase, the Colossal Phantom once again summons the Vex Shield. Venomous Pests will continue to spawn during this phase, and the Colossal Phantom will start to shoot levitation shots at players, which will spawn a lingering cloud of levitation when colliding with a block or mob.
Phase 5
Once the Vex Shield is depleted, the Colossal Phantom will advance to Phase 5, the final phase. During this phase, the Colossal Phantom will shoot fireballs, and levitation shots towards players at an increased rate. It will also summon the falling spikes and Venomous Pests. This is a combination of every attack the Colossal Phantom has.
Drops
When killed, the Colossal Phantom will drop a special loot table. This loot table contains weapons with special lore, diamonds, quartz, and some other loot[3]. Most notably, the Phantom Boss will drop a Sky Lens.
Sky Lens
The Sky Lens will allow players to more easily get to the Sky Dimension. Placing the Sky Lens directly on a beacon beam will turn the beam into a levitation ray. Standing in the beacon beam will cause the player to get an increasing amount of levitation. Mobs and Armor Stands will also be affected by the Sky Lens and will gain levitation. The Sky Lens works in any dimension and can be used similarly to any other source of levitation.
Technical Details
Colossal Phantoms will only do their projectile attacks if there is a player within 40 blocks. Multiple Colossal Phantoms can be spawned at the same time, but Colossal Phantoms with the same health will display a single bossbar.
