Compatible MC Versions1.8-1.10, 1.12+

Features

An "arms" code is used to remove the arms of an armour stand

To modify an armour stand, write one of the codes in a book and quill, and right click the armour stand. Multiple codes can be written on separate pages to apply these modifiers to the armour stand at the same time. If a page has extra text other than a valid code, that page will be ignored.

Armour stands placed in the world will show arms by default.

Codes

Use the following codes for the corresponding effect

Toggles

Some of the armour stand's features can be turned on and off.

Code Description
arms Switch the arms of the armour stand
base Switch base plate of the armour stand
size Switch the size of the armour stand
gravity Switch the gravity of the armour stand
visible Switch the visibility of the armour stand
  • Holding a book containing `visible` will show nearby invisible armour stands
turn Switch the direction of rotation of the armour stand
lock / unlock Disable/enable interactions with the armour stand
  • Holding a book containing `unlock` will show nearby locked armour stands
Pose

The pose of the armour stand is customized by "dragging" the specific parts into any rotation, or by applying "flip" or "default" onto the armour stand.

While editing an armour stand, you can undo the latest changes by not holding the book and quill anymore, or by going too far away from the armour stand.

With the Poses Pack expansion, more codes are available, to apply preset poses to the armour stand.

Code Description
pose
  • Right click a part of the armour stand to start editing this pose by moving your cursor.
    • Select the arms/legs/head/body to edit this pose
    • Select the base plate:
      • While NOT sneaking: move the armour stand around you
      • While sneaking: rotate the armour stand
  • Right click again to stop editing.
  • Sneak while editing to enable "snapping".
  • Left click to invert the pose of the selected part.
pose mirror Additional to "pose", this will mirror the pose of the selected arm/leg to the other arm/leg
move Move the armour stand around you
rotate Rotate the armour stand
flip Flip the full pose of the armour stand
default

Right click to reset the armour stand to the default pose and features.

  • Sneak to only reset a specific body part of the armour stand.
Copy/Paste and Item slot interaction

Modified armour stands can have their data stored in armour stand items by right clicking it with a book with "copy" and armour stand items in your offhand. This will copy its pose and other modified features to the item and some particles will be displayed to indicate that it has been copied successfully. Placing this item will create an armour stand with the same modifications as the original one.

"paste" can be used to copy the information on the copied armour stand items to existing armour stands.

Code Additional Description
copy Armour stand item(s) in offhand Copy modified features onto the armour stand items in your offhand
paste Custom armour stand item(s) in offhand Copy features from the copied armour stand items in your offhand to the armour stand
equip Any item in offhand Item in player's offhand will replace the item in the selected armour stand's slot.

This slot can be selected by right clicking its "shoulders" (for a hand item), or its head.
