Towers are tall surface structures that spawn up high on hills and mountains. There are three tower types.  
Towers spawn between Y=80 and Y=200 up high on hills and mountains. Some biomes have a specific dungeon variant: desert, ocean, mesa and snowy biomes.


The first is tall and thin, made of mostly stone. It contains three spawners and two chests, and spawns on stone.

Towers will generate with custom ''[[Custom Terrain Base#Seed Random|seed random]]'' spawners. These spawners only detect players within a spherical 8 blocks distance.
In the MC 1.8 Version(v1.0), the spawners inside the towers were populated with custom mob types. These have been removed in v3.0 because it made it too easy to obtain wither skulls.
