Undead Players

Module TypeStand Alone
Created bySparks
Last Updated bySunderB
Compatible MC Versions1.14

This module causes a zombie to spawn at a player's location upon death.

Details

Undead players are spawned at the player's death point. They pick up and wear armour items and can pick up a single item in their hand. Their name tag is like a player's and can be seen from a great distance through blocks. This can help players locate their last death-point and dropped items before they despawn.

Technical Summary

The Zombie spawned is never a baby or a villager variant. The Zombie spawned will always be able to pick up armour and one item. They will naturally swap their item with a sword, and then that sword for a better one.

Previous Versions

MC 1.8 Version

In the MC 1.8 Versions (v1.1), a snowball was used to display the Undead Players' names. This caused incompatibility with Damaging Snowballs.

MC 1.9-1.12 Versions

In the MC 1.9-1.12 versions (v2.1-2.3), the advancements were actually a simulated achievement, using tellraw to show the message. This has been transferred to advancements upon the release of the 1.13 version (v3.0).
