This module allows the creation of special smelters which cause ore smelting to output double items.

Features

When a furnace with the proper multi-block structure smelts an ore or other supported item, the Smeltery will output an additional smelted item. One outputted item will remain in the furnace while the other will remain in the Smeltery. If the Smeltery's output is full, the item will be spawned above the block.

Below is a list of items that can be smelted and doubled by a Smeltery.

Input Output (x2)
Copper Ore Copper Ingot
Nether Gold Ore Gold Ingot
Gold Ore
Iron Ore Iron Ingot
Sand Glass
Red Sand
Chorus Fruit Popped Chorus Fruit

Creation

Insert the recipe below into a Custom Crafter to upgrade it into a Smeltery. When broken, the Smeltery will drop both the items used to create a Custom Crafter and the items used to upgrade it into a Smeltery. Note that when destroying a Smeltery, the player will not get the iron block back, but will instead get a hopper.

Multi-Block Structure

In order for the Smeltery to properly function, a structure must be built around it. A furnace must be adjacent to the Smeltery with the back facing towards the Smeltery. 7 iron blocks must be placed in the surrounding blocks to complete a 3x3 square and an additional layer of 7 iron blocks should be placed above that.

Advancements

Advancement Requirement
Serious Smelter
Construct a Smeltery
Be within 4 blocks of a Custom Crafter being upgraded to a Smeltery

Compatibility

Smelteries can be moved with Relocators. This is the only way to move a Smeltery without losing any items, as breaking a Smeltery does not return the iron block used to create it. When placing a relocated Smeltery, the hopper will face into the block that it was placed on.
