This module causes stars to fall from the sky containing gifts or alien life. This module is pre-packaged with the Mysterious Midnights base module.

During this Mysterious Midnights event, stars will randomly fall from the sky. Falling stars can contain a diamond, a gold nugget, an iron nugget, an end stone, or an endermite egg. The falling star will affect nearby entities with levitation upon hitting the ground or an entity. This module is a rare event.

Endermite Egg

An endermite egg is a special end stone item found from falling stars. An endermite egg may spawn an endermite if it touches the ground. If the end stone item is picked up before it reaches the ground, an endermite will not spawn.

Technical Details

Stars have a chance to fall in a 160 block radius around a random player every 16 gameticks (0.8 seconds). Falling stars will spawn at Y=260 and follow a straight line downwards until it hits a block or entity.

Below is a table of possible stars and their chance to occur.

Type Chance
Endermite Egg 41.18%
Diamond 29.41%
Gold Nugget 11.76%
Iron Nugget 11.76%
End Stone 5.88%
