Forterra is a custom shamir which allows players to mine small amounts of ore from normal stone. For details on how to create a cast with metal band, see the [[Metallurgy#Casting Metals|Metallurgy]] page. It is found on a Copper Band, and can be placed onto a pickaxe. For details on adding a Shamir to an item, see the [[Metallurgy]] page.

When mining smooth stone with the enchanted pickaxe, there is a small chance to drop either iron nuggets, gold nuggets, or redstone dust. Cobblestone will still drop when mined.
When mining stone with the enchanted pickaxe, there is a small chance it will drop also drop raw copper, raw gold, raw iron, redstone, or an amethyst shard, depending on the height of the stone mined. ==== Limitations ====
== Previous Versions ==
The Forterra shamir will not work with a Silk Touch pickaxe. Forterra will not drop more than 1 resource for a single stone. e.g. if an iron nugget is dropped, a gold nugget or redstone dust cannot also drop.
=== MC Version 1.16.5 ===
Prior to MC Version 1.17, all loot was obtainable regardless of height.
