If the title of a Wikipedia page section is not appropriately named to reflect its contents you may use {{Rename section}} at the top of the section. This template creates a banner stating the problem at the top of the section, and also adds its tagged articles to Category:Wikipedia articles with sections named inappropriately.

Usage

{{Rename section|date=October 2024}} or {{Rename section|date=Month Year|reason=Your explanation here}}

Parameters

  • date: The date of adding the template may be used as the first parameter, in the form of Month Year.
  • talk: The title of the talk page entry about the issue if you created one.
  • reason: You may use the |reason= parameter to provide a short explanation describing the issue directly within the template, instead of, or in addition to the talk parameter.
