Usage

This template is intended to be put at the top of biographical articles which rely primarily or entirely on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) as a source. It places the articles in Category:Articles sourced by IMDb or an appropriate subcategory. If a significant amount of material is attributed to sources other than IMDb, but there is still unreferenced material, consider using {{BLP refimprove}} instead.

Parameters

This template takes three named parameters:

  • |date=, to add the date manually
  • |only=, if IMDb is the only source, then add |only=yes – the default is "no".
  • |living=, if the article's subject is not alive, then add |living=no – the default is "yes". This parameter set to "no" will omit the final sentence of the template, and the first link will then go to WP:BDP, which explains that WP:BLP may still apply to non-living persons under certain conditions.

Examples
