This module allows much more modification of armour stands.

Features
To modify an armour stand, write one of the codes in a book and quill, and right click the armour stand. Multiple codes can be written on separate pages to apply these modifiers to the armour stand at the same time. If a page has extra text other than a valid code, that page will be ignored.

Armour stands placed in the world will show arms by default.
Codes
Use the following codes for the corresponding effect

Toggles
Some of the armour stand's features can be turned on and off.

Pose
The pose of the armour stand is customized by "dragging" the specific parts into any rotation, or by applying "flip" or "default" onto the armour stand.

While editing an armour stand, you can undo the latest changes by not holding the book and quill anymore, or by going too far away from the armour stand.

With the Poses Pack expansion, more codes are available, to apply preset poses to the armour stand.

Copy/Paste and Item slot interaction
Modified armour stands can have their data stored in armour stand items by right clicking it with a book with "copy" and armour stand items in your offhand. This will copy its pose and other modified features to the item and some particles will be displayed to indicate that it has been copied successfully. Placing this item will create an armour stand with the same modifications as the original one.

"paste" can be used to copy the information on the copied armour stand items to existing armour stands.
Certain items, when held in the offhand, can be launched by shooting a crossbow. When the player shoots the arrow, the item and the arrow will be consumed.

Lingering Potion of Regeneration Lingering Potions
TNT TNT
Torch Torch (Any type)
otherwise, a torch item will drop at the location
String String (Tripwire)
Only if the player is standing inside a tripwire hook;
* Tripwire can be placed up to 40 blocks long.
* If a tripwire hook is present in the player's inventory, it will be placed at the end of the tripwire line on a solid block if possible.

Multishot
If the crossbow has the Multishot enchantment, some of the items make use of the functionality:
* TNT TNT, Fire Charge Fire Charges, and Torch Torches can shoot up to 3 of this item, taking 1 item from the player for each of these.
* Bucket of Pufferfish Buckets of Fish/Axolotl will shoot 2 additional "dead" duplicates to the side, which disappear shortly after and are purely visual.

Spectral and Tipped Arrows
Besides normal arrows, some of the functionality of the special arrows works as well:
* Spectral Arrow Spectral Arrows: The glowing effect is applied to the launched entity.
* Tipped Arrow Tipped Arrows: The effect on the tipped arrow is applied to the launched entity, although this is only effective on a mob in a bucket.

Technical Details
The items as projectiles will copy the exact motion as the arrow would have had.

When shooting a torch however, the arrow will still be shot. If an entity is hit instead of a block, the arrow/torch will be lost.
This module allows for stair blocks to be turned into chairs that the player can sit on!

Features
A chair can be created by throwing a saddle on the lower part of any stair block. Chairs can be sat on by right clicking them, and dismounted by sneaking.

The chair can be removed by either breaking the stair block, or by punching the saddle.

The chair can be rotated by holding a carrot on a stick. Note that this will rotate the player's legs as well, possibly leading to them appearing inside the stair block.

Technical Details
A chair is made sittable by an invisible pig with a saddle. The hitbox of this pig extends slightly below the stair block, preventing any blocks from being placed directly below the chair.
This module allows you to find loot from underwater sand.

Features
Treasure has a chance to drop from mined sand as long as it is deep underwater, and the player uses a tool with the enchantment Fortune I-III. The level of fortune increases the chance of treasure being dropped.

Technical Details
There needs to be 4 blocks of water above the player, and the player must be fully submerged in water in order to find treasure.

For the loot table of the treasure chests, visit this page.

The chance for treasure to drop is based on the level of Fortune. Any level above 3 will not work.
This module adds particles to the game using the Better Armour Stands module.
Features
To select a particle, write one of the available codes into a book and quill, and right click an armour stand. The armour stand will become invisible and display the selected particle. Holding a book and quill will make any invisible armour stand in an 8-block radius glow to show their locations.

To remove the particle from an armour stand, right click the armour stand with a book and quill again, with "default", and it will reappear and stop emitting particles.
Technical Details
An armour stand can only emit one particle at a time.

Copy and Paste
Armour Stands with custom poses can have their data stored in armour stand items by throwing a book with `copy` and armour stand items at this armour stand. This will copy its pose, base plate and size to the item and some particles will be displayed to indicate that it has been copied successfully. Placing this item will create an armour stand with the same pose as the original one.

MC 1.8 Version
The MC 1.8 Version to add arms to an armour stand, 2 sticks would be thrown at the armour stand. The sticks would disappear and the armour stand would gain arms. Throwing a pair of shears at an armour stand would cause it to become small. The shears will not be consumed or damaged. The book and quill feature was not in this version.

Hermitcraft Version
In the Hermitcraft version, modified armour stands had to be crafted with a custom crafter.

To submit a module to Gamemode 4, it must follow some specific standards. The following instructions will guide you through creating and submitting a module to Gamemode 4. Submitting a module can be done through GitHub.

The following information is taken from the Gamemode 4 Dev GitHub page

Adding a GM4 Module that isn't in the repo yet
* Create a fork of
GM4_Datapacks
using the Fork button in the top-right of the repo. You will then have a personal copy of the repo ready for your changes.
* Make a copy of the
GM4_template_pack
folder and rename it to the name of the module you are writing code for.
* Each module you create should be made under a separate branch so that modules can be submitted, approved and tested individually.
Inside the
gm4_template_pack
folder is code that matches the Gamemode 4 module standard including a copy of the current clocking system. Rename the
_pack.mcmeta
file to
pack.mcmeta
. The contents of the file can remain unchanged.

There are several placeholder values in both file names and the files themselves.
*
MODULE_ID
within this folder should be replaced with the module name in an underscored format such as
bat_grenades
or
enderman_support_class
. This should contain only lowercase characters and underscores and should match the module name on the website if the module already exists.
*
MODULE_NAME
should be replaced with a display name for the module as this is visible to players such as
Bat Grenades
or
Enderman Support Class
. This should match the name on the website if the module already exists.

Folders
Within the
data
folder there are three folders for the different namespaces this module will use. If the module is an extension, you will need an additional module for the base module. Because we merge modules with a copy of the base clock certain folders and files should not be included once the module is submitted but are included in the template so you can test your module.

/minecraft/
This folder simply contains code that lets Minecraft run the Gamemode 4 clocking system. Nothing in this folder needs to be changed.

/gm4/
This folder contains a copy of the Gamemode 4 clocking system and small changes need to be made (see placeholder values above). Be sure not to miss any of these placeholders! Do not change anything else in these files. If the module does not contain advancements then the file under
gm4/advancements
should be deleted. Otherwise the advancement details should be updated. The
root.json
file should not be deleted or changed.

/template/
This folder should be renamed to
MODULE_ID
. All your module code should be within this folder or within sub-folders. Place your main commands in the
main.mcfunction
file and any commands that should run every tick (avoid this if possible) into
pulse_check.mcfunction
.

Naming and formatting standards
Please be sure to match the formatting for Gamemode 4 modules to ensure readability and consistency.

* Names should be as clear and relevant as possible to avoid confusion or two modules sharing the same name by mistake.
* Any name, scoreboard name or tag should be formatted as
lowercase_with_underscores

* Scoreboards and tags should begin with the
gm4_
prefix.
* fake players used to store numbers for scoreboard operations should be named as a "#" followed by that number e.g.
scoreboard players set #100 gm4_some_scoreboard 100

* fake players that aren't constants should be prefixed by "$" and be in
snake_case
, e.g.
$has_soul_fire_heatsource

* Entities that aren't visible to the player (markers) should have custom names beginning with
gm4_
if this does not interfere with functionality.
* Lore on items should have the first word capitalized and no fullstop at the end of the sentence if there is only one sentence. Other punctuation (?!) can be added. Descriptions should be
"color":"gray","italic":false
whilst flavor text or commands (such as "Throw to use") should be
"color":"dark_gray","italic":true
.
* Names on items should follow Minecraft's rarity colorscheme and should be
"italic":false
.

Comments
* Any function except those included with the template file should start with a header comment that consists of:
# Plays a particle animation upon Zauber Cauldron creation
# @s = player holding enchanted book
# at @s align xyz
# run from zauber_cauldrons:cauldron/create
* Executor information may be written in mcfunction format (e.g.
# @s = @e[type=mooshroom,limit=1,dx=0]
) or in human-readable format (e.g.
# @s = Mooshroom within same blockspace, limit=1
). Complicated selectors should be written in a human-readable format.
* Location information should include the full location -- including any
align
or
positioned
arguments -- or be written in human-readable format if the location is especially complicated.
* Call information can reference
** a single function, if the function is run by
/function ...
:
# run from zauber_cauldrons:cauldron/create
.
** a folder, if multiple functions call this function using
/function
:
# run from functions in gm4_pig_tractors:till/blocks/
.
** a function from where it was scheduled:
# scheduled by zauber_cauldrons:cauldron/create
.
** a combination of these, in which multiple lines would be used.
* (Optional) A human-readable description of the function, e.g.
# Plays a particle animation upon Zauber Cauldron creation
.

Sending us your module code
To send us your finished module for testing and approval, simply submit a pull request and leave a comment if you have additional notes. Make sure to delete files related to the base clocking system. Specifically make sure:
* Delete the load.json and tick.json files from minecraft/tags/functions/
* Delete functions from the gm4 namespace. Advancements and load/tick tags should be left in there though.
* Make sure that
#$moduleUpdateList
is on the last line containing text of your module's
init.mcfunction

Updating a module on the repo
If you've spotted a bug in a module or have a performance improvement you wish to make, create a branch of the repo similar to the process outlined in the section above and make your changes. Once you have edited the module files, create a pull request and leave a detailed note on why you have made your changes.

This module allows players to craft landmines that blow up upon impact.

Features
TNT landmines must be crafted in a Custom Crafter. There are 3 types of landmines that can be crafted: Normal, Disguised, and Invisible. Additionally, a TNT Landmine can be upgraded into a Terrain-Safe Landmine using a new craftable item.

Dropping a TNT Landmine item onto the floor (using the Drop Key, default: 'Q') will turn them into a landmine. When the landmine is stepped on, or if the block it is in is removed, the landmine will instantly explode.

Disarming Landmines
Dropping Shears onto a landmine will disarm it, allowing players to pick it up and move it. This will remove one durability point, destroying the shears if the durability is 0.

Special Types
Disguised Landmines
These landmines will display a different block instead of a TNT block when primed inside a block. There are 6 types of disguises a landmine can be:

Grass Block, Dirt, Stone, Stone Bricks, Crafting Table, and Netherrack

Invisible Landmines
Invisible Landmines are invisible, except for a few particles around itself. Holding shears near Invisible Landmines will increase the number of particles shown.

Terrain-Safe Landmines
Dropping a Soft Defuser on a TNT Landmine will turn it into a Terrain-Safe Landmine.

Terrain-Safe Landmines only damages players rather than destroying terrain.
Technical Details
The player will not receive the TNT back when destroying a TNT Landmine. Only a single landmine can be placed within a 1.5 block radius; throwing a landmine on a block that already has one will not do anything.

When disarming a TNT Landmine, if it is not picked up quickly (within 16 game ticks), it will re-arm as a landmine.
MC 1.8 Version
In the MC 1.8 version, any TNT dropped on the ground would become a TNT Landmine. There were no disguised, invisible, or terrain-safe landmines and no way to make terrain-safe landmines. Additionally, disarming would only be possible by hitting the landmine, returning an armor stand item TNT item. All entities apart from items could activate a landmine, instead of just players.

Hermitcraft Version
In the Hermitcraft version, there were only default landmines (no disguised, invisible, or terrain-safe landmines). Additionally, disarming would only be possible by hitting the landmine, returning an armor stand item rather than the TNT Landmine. All entities apart from items could activate a landmine, instead of just players.

Technical Details
A chair is made sittable by an invisible pig with a saddle. The hitbox of this pig extends slightly below the stair block, preventing any blocks from being directly below the chair.

Technical Details
A chair is made sittable by an invisible pig with a saddle. The hitbox of this pig extends slightly below the stair block, preventing any blocks from being directly below the chair.
This module adds the ability to create custom armor and tool enchantments.

Features
Metallurgy adds new custom ores, obsidian casts, and enchantments called shamirs.

Custom Ores
Custom ores can be found within different types of stone. To uncover custom ores, stone must be blown up with TNT. After the blast, a few lumps of metal will drop in the blown up area. The following ores can be found in each of the listed types of stone below.

When a thorianite lump is in the inventory, the player will experience a mining fatigue effect.

Molds and Casting
Molds are used to create Obsidian Casts. A mold can be created by dropping one obsidian and one clay ball onto a sand block.

To start casting metals, the mold must first be heated by placing lava over it. However, if a mold is heated for too long, it will break and drop as a magma block. When a mold is overheated, it will ignite a 3x3 area around it and the sand will be replaced with a small amount of lava.

Over time, a mold will cool down if it's not being heated by lava. When it cools down completely, the obsidian will drop as an item, or as an Obsidian Cast if there is metal inside it.

When the mold is heated and glowing red, metals can be added. When the mold cools down, it'll eventually stop accepting metals. The mold must be reheated to continue adding metals. A total of 23 custom ores are required to create a proper obsidian cast. If an incorrect number of metals are added, the obsidian band will be created with a Mundane Band which is completely useless.
Obsidian Casts
There are 6 types of Obsidian Casts: 4 made of pure metals and 2 made of alloys. Below is a list of the metals required for each band type. If cast incorrectly, a mundane band will appear on the obsidian cast. Mining a cast breaks the metal band on it, so if an obsidian cast is placed and broken, it will drop with a Mundane Band

Band Recycling
A band may be recycled in the creation of a new band supplying approximately half of the total ore cost. The band is added into the mold like any other ore lump, and will return one obsidian upon being recycled. Pure Metal Bands supply 12 ore of their respective metal, while Alloy Metal Bands supply 9 primary ore and 3 secondary ore.

Metal Properties
Each of the six metals hold a specific property. The six metals are split into two groups with two metals having opposing properties and their alloy acting as the balance between the two. Each shamir will have a property relating to their metal property. Below is a list of each metal property.
Shamirs
An obsidian cast with a metal band will contain a shamir. A shamir is essentially a custom enchantment which appears on an obsidian cast's metal band. Each shamir can only be put onto specific items, shown in the table below.

There are 12 default shamirs packaged with Metallurgy and additional expansion packs available. Shamirs on the same metal will each have an equal chance of appearing with that metal when a cast is created. For more information about each shamir, click on its name to go to the shamir's page.

Attaching and Detaching Bands
In order for a shamir to be active, it must be put onto an item. Whilst on the band, the properties are contained and does not do anything. Shamirs can only be placed on certain items, similar to how vanilla enchantments are limited to certain items.

To transfer the band off the obsidian cast and onto an item, place an anvil with a downwards facing piston two blocks above it, leaving an air gap between the anvil and piston. Throw the obsidian cast and a valid item onto the anvil, then power the piston. The piston will remove the metal band from the obsidian and the item will gain the shamir properties. Only one Shamir can be placed on an item. If the item already has a shamir, the process of attaching another band will fail.

To transfer an item's shamir back to a cast, drop the item and a piece of obsidian (doesn't have to be an empty cast) on to the anvil, and power the piston again. The piston will transfer the shamir from the item onto the obsidian.

This module adds poses to the Better Armour Stands module.

Features
To modify an armour stand, write one or certain combinations of the codes in a book and quill, and throw it at the armour stand's feet. This expansion pack allows players to modify the position of the arms, legs, head, body and rotation of an armour stand, and make copies of armour stands.

Codes
Use the following codes, each word on a different page, for the corresponding effect.

Codes can be combined to perform multiple actions at the same time, where the pages with code can be in any order
From Player Rotation
Each part of the armour stand can be set to any pose depending on where the player is facing.
Use one of the codes below in the first page and any optional codes in the second page while all other pages in the written book are empty. Stand inside the armour stand, throw the written book with one of the codes on the ground, and quickly face the direction you want this part to be rotated as.

Use one of the codes below while all other pages in the written book are empty. Stand inside the armour stand, throw the written book with one of the codes on the ground, and quickly face the direction you want this part to be rotated as.

This module allows you to smelt soul sand into soul glass to corrupt beacon effects!
Features
Soul glass can be placed directly on top of a beacon to reverse its effects. If placed above any block that is not a beacon, it will immediately pop off as an item. Breaking the soul glass block will not return it as an item, so the only way to retrieve a soul glass block is to remove the beacon below it.

Obtaining
To obtain soul glass, smelt a block of soul sand in a blast furnace. It will take 40 seconds to smelt a piece of soul sand into soul glass. This is equivalent to burning one coal.

Usage
Every 4 seconds a soul glass block will update. During this block update, it will check the beacon below it to reverse the effects if not already reversed and apply effects to players.

If the soul glass is pushed by a piston away from the beacon, the original effects of the beacon will be restored. Pulling the soul glass back to its original location will once again corrupt the effects.

Below is list of the reverse effects for each beacon effect.
+
Jump Boost
Slow Falling
Strength
Weakness
Regeneration
Poison

Technical Details
When first installing the module, any blast furnaces previously placed in the world will have to be broken and placed back down in order to properly smelt soul glass.

Smelting soul glass rewards the furnace with 1.0 experience.

When the soul glass is pushed away from its original location, it cannot corrupt any other beacons. The soul remains at its original location and cannot be moved.
About
Gamemode 4
Gamemode 4 is a collection of Minecraft command modules designed to change and enhance the survival experience. Each module adds a set of custom features to the game. Modules vary in size, some adding small features like exploding bats or naturally generating paths, while others add complex mechanics such as magic potion brewing or custom ores. Each module is carefully balanced and designed to work well for survival game play, as well as compliment other modules. Gamemode 4 modules can be downloaded for Minecraft 1.13+ as data packs.

Gamemode 4 was originally created by Sparks, but is now open source on Github. Gamemode 4 is run by Sparks, SpecialBuilder32, Bloo, and Spider.

Installing Gamemode 4
To install Gamemode 4 modules onto your server or single player world, download the data pack from the Gamemode 4 website and insert the data pack zip folder into the
datapacks
folder in the world you wish to install the module in. == About ==

For a step-by-step walk-through on installing data packs, see the video below.

This modules allows stair blocks to be turned into chairs for the player to sit on.

Features
A chair can be created by throwing a saddle inside any type of stair block (on the lower part of the stair). Chairs can be sat on by right clicking them, and dismounted by sneaking. Breaking the stair block returns the saddle used to make it.

Technical Details
A chair is made sittable by an invisible pig with a saddle. Due to a minecraft bug, when holding a carrot on a stick the pig moves slightly randomly and can be rotated, but they are realigned when a player gets off the chair.
